What's the difference between us and Burnley (9 points), a booking?

Re: Europa League
If so, we will need a fair few good players to bulk up the squad for a long season.

Re: Europa League
True. This table does not include games at the weekend but Burnley in second also picked up a couple of yellows so should still be top.

Re: Europa League
Don't think a player like Song would take well to having to cut his holiday short to play in a Europa qualifier.

That's thd same Song that didn't jet off to Dubai on a jolly up so he could stay and train with the development squad to work on his fitness........

I don't think Allardyce would take it very seriously to be honest

Re: Europa League
Can be nothing but a good thing surely. Dont think the extra games will be much of a problem. May mean holding onto a couple of players we would of otherwise got rid of and maybe a few youngsters making a breakthrough?

This is just what I need before I get to old with a mortgage and mini woodys running around the gaff!

Please let this be true.

Re: Europa League
Would love to see it go back to the straight knockout format, no reason for it not to as I doubt there's much money in the group stages (unlike the champions league).

Expand it to 128 teams so more clubs can get a taste of European action .
Straight knockout over 2 legs
No champion leagues failures joining in in January.

Would be a dream come true if we managed to get a place in the Euro League in our last season at Boleyn

It means Allardyce has got us into Europe and I think that knowledge will cause a few on here to combust. I think the Europa League is a waste of time but European football will give everyone a boost.

Yeah of course....if Schalke was anything to go by

Give me some two bob town in Bulgaria or Croatia in the height of summer, that sells cheap 7% lager and cheap brasses.

Thinking the impossible dont the winners get into the Champions League?

Re: Europa League
If we do go on a European tour we will need at least another 5 or 6 quality, and likely costly, additions to the squad IMHO.

So nothing will change we'll collapse anyway once our season is over and we're safe from relegation, may as well have the distraction of europe.
